Summertime Treats!

If you haven't tried shaved ice before, now is the time!

I just discovered this place around the corner from my house (how I've never noticed it before, I don't know), and it is great! I'm definitely a slushy drinking kind of girl and a regular at my local 7-Eleven, but now that I've discovered this place, 7-Eleven is OUT! It was a bitter sweet break-up, but my new beau is one of a kind!
This is called a "Double Rainbow: cherry, banana, and blue raspberry syrup flavors with a scoop of rainbow sherbet in the middle! And let me tell you, it sent me OVER the rainbow! Obsessed.

Grandma's Acne Secret

Kind of like in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, I have a family member that swears by one product: Baking Soda. My grandmother swears that Baking Soda helps clear your acne, and you know what, she's right! I took the challenge and I couldn't be more happy! Once a week, I take a quarter size amount and add a couple of water drops to create a paste that I use as face scrub. The paste gives my face a deep clean as well as a baby soft, smooth feeling.

DIY Magnet Board

Grab some spray paint at your local hardware store and spray some of your cookie sheets to create your own personal magnet boards! Great for your kitchen, kids rooms, etc.

Southwest Chicken Salad ...

Today I was galavanting through Laguna Beach, CA and stopped into Saphire Laguna, a quaint dining experience with comfort food inspired by dishes around the world. I ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad. Who knew that baby spinach, corn, dried cranberries, honey roasted walnuts, southwest chicken, topped with a sweet ranch dressing could make a perfect day even more perfect?

Trust me.

We've all tried the oils provided at our local supermarkets that promise a deep, dark tan, but trust me when I tell you that all you need is this bottle of Maui Babe. Happy tanning!

I Love Chair.

Shawna Robinson, creator and founder of Happy Chair has been keeping me more than happy lately! I absolutely fell in LOVE when I discovered these chairs, but when I found out the creator of them is an ex female NASCAR driver ... I immediately started throwing money into my "Gotta buy a Happy Chair" piggy bank!

Beat the Heat!

A Healthy Summertime Snack!

Summer is heating up! Try some of these economically friendly popsicles at your house!

What you'll need:

  • fruit ( pick your favorite, or two! )
  • juice ( lemonade works for most )
  • molds ( found at your local Target, or your grandmas kitchen! )My personal favorite: strawberries & peaches

What I do is blend strawberries and peaches together and add lemonade to the mix until I reach the desired blend. Then I simply pour the mix into the molds and let them freeze. Hours later  I have a refreshing, and healthy, summertime popsicle.

Got Pimples?

We all do. I came across this picture about acne and had to share. It numbers certain areas on your face and gives possible reasons as to why you break out there. For example, I tend to break out in area 12. According to recent findings, area 12 breakouts could mean that I need to detox or add more fiber to my diet.
